Can I be sure I’m saved? Will I go to heaven when I die?

These two questions are very important, and to the writer of this article, two of the most sobering questions we will ever ask in this life of pain and suffering. Does the Bible assures us that we’re saved and going to heaven when we die? The answer is a resounding yes! We can and I daresay  MUST be sure of both of these glorious realities.                                Why? Because through out scripture it tells us the righteous will be saved and dwell in the presence of the Lord forever. This reality should provide us with tremendous comfort. For those of you who are Christians and have doubts right now about the afterlife, I do not w...

The Bible contains errors. I can’t trust it!

That statement no doubt is uttered everyday by haters of scripture and also unfortunately by Christians who are unsure of the Bible’s inerrancy. What I will do in this article is point out a few texts of scripture that appear to be errors and or contradictions. Apparent contradiction# 1 Proverbs 26:4 – Answer not a fool according to his folly lest you be like him. Proverbs 26:5 – Answer a fool according to his folly lest he be wise in his own conceit. Looking at the two verses back to back they seem to contradict one another but they do not.                                                 Let me explain. There are times when we are not to answer a foolish person according to their behavior or else we stoop down to their level of stupidity ...

God has commanded us not to murder So why did God command Abraham to kill his Son Isaac?

The question is a valid question. One I will attempt my best to answer. We must keep in mind when asking God questions, we must never ask in a accusative manner for who are we to question God? Will the thing formed say to the one that formed him why did you make me like this? (Romans 9:20). Exodus 20:13 commands us that we are not to murder. But in Genesis 22 we read the account of God commanding Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice to Him (God). This on the surface it appears God is contradicting himself. Is He? Let’s examine carefully these two commands. First, in Genesis 22:1-19 we read: And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he said, Here am I. 2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3  And Abraham rose early in the morning, and...

How you can determine a False Prophet

Quite simply a false prophet is a liar. One that claims to speak in the name of the Lord and his word doesn’t come to pass is a false prophet and is worthy of death. This only has to occur once for you to be a false prophet. If God is truly speaking to the individual, that word will surely come to pass 100% of the time for God has breathed his word into the soul of that man/woman and they literally become the mouthpiece of the Lord God Almighty. False prophets primarily do two things: 1.    They speak falsely in the name of the Lord 2.    They lead people into sin because of their lies (Jim Jones, David Koresh, Heaven’s Gate Cult, Islam, etc) Ø   Proverbs 14:5 declares that: A faithful witness will not lie but an unfaithful witness will utter lies. Ø   Proverbs 21:28 declares: A false witness will perish Ø   Jeremiah 23:32: Behold I am against them that prophesy false dreams sait...
