God has commanded us not to murder So why did God command Abraham to kill his Son Isaac?

The question is a valid question. One I will attempt my best to answer. We must keep in mind when asking God questions, we must never ask in a accusative manner for who are we to question God? Will the thing formed say to the one that formed him why did you make me like this? (Romans 9:20). Exodus 20:13 commands us that we are not to murder. But in Genesis 22 we read the account of God commanding Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice to Him (God). This on the surface it appears God is contradicting himself. Is He? Let’s examine carefully these two commands. First, in Genesis 22:1-19 we read: And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he said, Here am I. 2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3  And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled

How you can determine a False Prophet

Quite simply a false prophet is a liar. One that claims to speak in the name of the Lord and his word doesn’t come to pass is a false prophet and is worthy of death. This only has to occur once for you to be a false prophet. If God is truly speaking to the individual, that word will surely come to pass 100% of the time for God has breathed his word into the soul of that man/woman and they literally become the mouthpiece of the Lord God Almighty. False prophets primarily do two things: 1.    They speak falsely in the name of the Lord 2.    They lead people into sin because of their lies (Jim Jones, David Koresh, Heaven’s Gate Cult, Islam, etc) Ø   Proverbs 14:5 declares that: A faithful witness will not lie but an unfaithful witness will utter lies. Ø   Proverbs 21:28 declares: A false witness will perish Ø   Jeremiah 23:32: Behold I am against them that prophesy false dreams saith the Lord and do tell them and cause my people to err by their light
