Will things in this life ever get better?

I'll ask the question a second time. Will things in this life ever get better? That depends upon your position in Christ. Many are trying their best to improve our environment and our world. Let me explain. For instance, we have environmentalists and others who want us to recycle, drive eco-friendly cars, ride on fuel efficient buses so that we do not pollute more our already contaminated environment; do not cut down any more trees so that we do not lose our supply of oxygen, pay our bills electronically so that we do not have to be sent a paper bill in the mail and the list goes on. All of these things are good gestures and should be applauded. We should do whatever it takes to preserve and use of our natural resources wisely. It is good stewardship however, in the end all these efforts will come to naught.

While I am not trying to sound cynical, we as human beings will never be able to save the planet. No matter how many “smart cars” we purchase or however many solar panels we buy for our homes, or no matter how many trees we save. Saving the planet was never the duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13b-14 describes man’s total purpose, “fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it be good or evil”.

The point I am proving is that man cannot ultimately improve our human condition. The reason why things are so bad is because of man. Man is the problem so he certainly cannot be the solution Sadly, man is not getting better as time marches on, he is getting worse. 2 Timothy 3:13 says evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse. So no, for most of the world things are not getting better; they are getting worse and will get far worse. As a matter of fact, the future time will be so horrific that Jesus Himself said it would be the worst time in human history (Matt 24:21). In the future there will be worldwide catastrophes like nothing the world has ever seen before. There will be wonders in heavens, terrible things on the earth and in the seas. The book of Revelation describes these disasters in detail. Let us look at some of them.

Revelation 6:12-14: I (John) looked when He opened the sixth seal and behold there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded like a scroll when It is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

Revelation 8:7: The first angel sound (his trumpet) and hail and fire followed mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and green grass was burned up.

Revelation 9:15 – When the sixth angel blows his trumpet he releases four unholy angels out of the Euphrates River, Also a two hundred million man (or some say demonic) army. It could be both. Their job is to destroy a third of mankind (approximately 2.3 billion dead according to current world population).

Revelation 11:15, 19: Then the seventh angel sounded…then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of the covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

Revelation chapter 13 deals with the rise and activities of the anti-christ.

Revelation 16:8 – Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed God who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent to give Him glory.

These verses and so many more tell us that things will get far worse in the end times. This is something that cannot be prayed away. God has decreed it will happen, and it will unfold in exactly the manner scripture describes. The events of the great tribulation will end with the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth. It is at this time all the holy angels and all the saints of God will return with Him. Jesus will destroy His enemies at this time (Rev 19:11-21). After this, the Lord will set up His eternal kingdom with the initial segment of His kingdom lasting one thousand years (Rev 20:2,4,6-7). During this time in human history things will be perfect because the devil will be bound and shut up in prison; called the bottomless pit or the Abyss for a one thousand years with a brief release with his ultimate doom in the lake of fire (Rev 20:1-3,10 ). There will be worldwide peace on earth.

In Isaiah 11 it says the wolf will dwell with lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat. The calf and the young lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them. It also says in Isaiah 11 that none shall hurt nor destroy in My holy mountain says the Lord (Isa 11:6, 9; 65:25).

Here is the point I must get across to the reader, no matter how valiant, benevolent, brave, courageous, well intentioned, or any other adjective we can use to describe human effort to make this earth a better place we cannot do it. Saving this planet is ultimately futile. Why? Because it is disposable. We cannot save what God has determined He will destroy. I for one am happy He is going to destroy it. Now that doesn’t mean we should destroy it. The earth is the Lord’s and it is up to Him when he will destroy it. I give you two reasons why the Lord must destroy this earth. 1) This world is under a curse because of the original sin of Adam (Gen 3:17b). This has brought the world untold misery, pain and death. 2) God promised He would destroy it and provide us with a new heavens and new earth (Isa 65:17; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev 21:1). God created this earth in the first place, so what is the big deal if He destroys it and re-creates it to the paradise it was before? Someone has correctly called the new heavens and new earth PARADISE REGAINED! This is the place all God’s people long for where righteousness dwells and the whole earth is full of the knowledge of the Lord (Isa 11:9).

So in answering the original question, “Will thing in this life ever get better?” The answer is yes and no. No, because man is only capable of making matters worse because he is hopelessly evil and depraved. And yes because Jesus Christ praise God is returning to destroy all evildoers; at which time He will establish His eternal Universal Kingdom reign which will usher in everlasting peace where all will dwell safely and men will learn war no more (Isa 2:4; Micah 4:3).

Born Into Sin

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because all sinned.

-Romans 5:12

If one understands what Paul the apostle is teaching here, we would conclude God is not being fair. Let me explain. Paul is saying because of the original sin of Adam back in the Garden of Eden, all of his descendants sinned as well. But how someone may ask. Because we were all in the loins of Adam when he committed the sin. God imputed or transferred our original father’s sin nature to all of us. We are guilty by association. David in Psalm 51:5 hit this reality on the head when he said, “I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me”.

`Even a newborn child no matter how beautiful, cuddly and precious they are is a sinner by nature, and very shortly will prove to be a sinner by choice, and action. Sin begets sin. One can barely turn the pages of scripture and not see the word sin on it somewhere. Why? Because sin has not only pervaded the human soul, sin has corrupted the entire universe.

Romans 8:19-22 says this, “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now."

These four verses describe the pain God’s creation is in because of our sins. The earth awaits our glorification. For when we are glorified, God will soon re-create the earth to the paradise it once was. Remember what God told Adam in Genesis 3:17b-18, “Cursed is the ground for your sake. In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field."

Do we get a better picture of how powerful sin is; How it has destroyed everything it touches? Let me be more specific.

Because of sin God destroyed the whole world with a flood during the time of Noah. Only 8 souls were saved and some animals that were in the ark (Genesis 7). Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed because of the sin of homosexuality (Gen 18 & 19). Because of sin, God destroyed the Egyptians in Exodus 14. Because of Israel’s disobedience with the Moabites, a plague went through the land and twenty four thousand people died (Numbers 25:9). Moses and Aaron were not permitted to go into the promised land because they misrepresented God (Numbers 20:12). Saul’s disobedience led to God rejecting him as king ( I Sam 15:23c;26). David’s sin of adultery with Bathsheba and murder of her husband Uriah led to the death of his child with Bathsheba and trouble in his house until his death (2 Sam 11 & 12). David decries his sin in Psalm 51.

Wise King Solomon in his old age was the cause of the kingdom of Israel being divided into two nations after his death because of his many foreign wives along with the worship of their gods. These pagan women turned his heart away from the Lord (I Kings 11 & 12). Because of sin, God sent King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to destroy Jerusalem for their unfaithfulness (Jeremiah 39; 52:1-34; 2 Chronicles 36:11-21). Because of sin God through the Prophet, Daniel predicted the destruction of Babylon by the Medes and Persians. This happened in 539 B.C. (Daniel 5:26-30).

Because of sin, Judas betrayed Jesus (Psalm 41:9; Matt 26:16;25; Mark 14:10; Luke 22:3-6; John 13:27). Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead because they lied to the Holy Spirit about their giving (Acts 5). Stephen became the first Christian martyr of the church for preaching the gospel (Acts 7). The Holy wrath of God is unleashed in the book of Revelation because of the sins of the entire world. Over half of the world’s population will perish in a series of 21 judgments. This is yet future. This will culminate with the return of Jesus Christ to set up His eternal earthly kingdom.

Do you now have a better picture of why Jesus had to come and die for our sins? So that those of us who believe can be delivered from its penalty…death, eternal death and receive eternal life. The Father God sent the Son to die for His people (Matt 1:21). What was the motivation for God to do this? Why would Father God send His sinless Son to die for unworthy, wretched sinners? The Bible tell us. He did it because He so loved us (John 3:16). We read this in Ephesians 1:5, In love He predestined us to adoptions as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the pleasure of His will. Ephesians 1:4 tells us when God chose us, before the foundation of the world. So we learn from these texts that before the universe was formed God determined to save a people for Himself; to become His sons and daughters when they believe in the completed work of Jesus work on the cross. Those that believe are adopted into the family of God. These believers are also justified which is a forensic term. When one believes his or her sins are imputed or transferred to Christ. And in exchange, Christ’s righteousness is imputed to the believer. What is so beautiful about this is God did this because it pleased Him to do so.

Since we are now justified through belief in Christ, our sins can never condemn us again – meaning we cannot be sent to hell for them. Why? Because Christ took our sins upon Himself and canceled our sin debt. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us (italics mine) that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Peter 2:24, Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree that we having died to sin might live for righteousness. By whose stripes we are healed.

It is very important the reader understand that Christ’s atonement is sufficient for all but only efficient for those who believe in Him. These are the one whom Jesus saves. The death of Christ delivers no benefit to those who reject the gospel message and go to hell. Why am I stating what seems obvious? Because most Christians believe that Jesus died for the sins of every person that will ever live (I John 2:2); even those that never believe and perish. Let us think about this for a moment. If Jesus died for all sins, wouldn’t the sin of unbelief be included? The answer obviously is yes. So why then are numerous people going to hell for the sin of unbelief? The answer is that none of their sins were atoned for by Christ. Jesus did not die for all sins except unbelief. He died for every sin including unbelief. My point is how can Christ die for every single human being’s sins and any of them go to hell unless none of their sins were atoned for? Jesus either died for all of your sins or none of them. If Jesus truly died for your sins it is because you decided to believe in Him for salvation. This separates believers from non- believers.[i]

Christ’s atonement was a complete and satisfying sacrifice to God the Father. It appeased God’s holy wrath against sin. The Father punished His only Begotten Son for our sins (Isaiah 53:6b). Whose sins? Them that believe. Let me ask this question if one says Christ died for their sins and that person dies and goes to eternal damnation, were their sins ever forgiven? There are those that believe and teach that to say Jesus paid for someone’s sins in full, and that person dies in sin and pays eternally for their owns sins is a form of double jeopardy. I agree. It makes no sense to me. It also diminishes the efficacy of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Christ did not die to make men savable. He died to actually save men from every tribe, tongue, and nation. That is what it means when the scripture says Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. Christ died for all people without distinction regardless of their color, socio-economic status, nationality, geography, language, etc. He did not die for all people without exception. Most Christians will disagree. They insist Christ died for every human being who will walk the face of the earth because that is what is fair. To imply Christ died for some and not all is heresy most would say. Christ’s atonement on the cross was completely successful; Jesus saved all whom God gave to Him. Let me amplify that point. In John 6:37-40 we read the words of Jesus, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and those who come to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that all He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

These powerful verses tell me that God the Father sent His Son on a recovery mission to gather up His lost sheep and bring them into His fold to dwell forever with Him (Psalm 23:6).

The aforementioned should be the aim of all men, once one realizes they have been born into sin or in sin; they should endeavor to be born again. Not to be born again is to degenerate from being born in sin to dying in sin (John 8:24). That person’s life has been a waste. From birth to death that person has lived their entire life in sin – rebellion against God. The goal of every human being should be to become regenerate; from being born in sin to be re-born in Christ (John 3:3;2 Cor 5:17; Eph 1:1,4).

The U.S Supreme Court made a monumental ruling on Friday June 26^th, 2015. In a 5-4 decision between the Supreme Court Justices, legislation was passed legalizing same sex marriages nationwide. Translating my title of the article from numeric to alpha it equals five is greater than three hundred million. Simply meaning that five judges made a decision that affects over three hundred million Americans.    In the eyes of many Americans especially homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders, this infamous decision was most liberating. They have declared not legalizing same sex marriage as unfair and bigoted. Anyone who disagrees with their lifestyle is regarded as intolerant and homophobic. They have every right to hate our lifestyle (true believers) without us retaliating, but when we disagree with theirs we are homophobic? That’s a double standard.

The state of California on November 4^th, 2008[1] voted for acknowledging marriage as only between a man and a woman which is what God instituted in the beginning. Obviously this was met with intense opposition as being unconstitutional.[2] Does a local or federal government or the President have the right to change what God instituted? How do we who honor God and His word supposed to feel about this? Should we be outraged or not be surprised by the decision and simply flow with it? After all, what business is it of ours if two consenting adults of the same sex want to be together right? Don’t they have the right to love each other without being judged by some insensitive religious nut who has no compassion and simply want to tell them that God will send them straight to hell for their immorality? What gives anyone the right to cast stones at homosexuals and lesbians when none of us is perfect and commit sins ourselves? Should we just acquiesce and let God be their judge for only God can judge us right? Is that what the Word of God teaches?

I could go on and on with an infinite amount of questions regarding this matter but I will not. There are some questions that need to be answered though right now. Since the Supreme Court has loudly spoken, I with many other believers will be compelled to speak and we must for the sake of truth, and for the sake of Almighty God honor Him with a Biblical worldview response to this decision.

Let me start off by saying that we as believers are at war! Yes we are beloved, we are at war. I am not being dramatic or extreme. You may ask, “What kind of war are we in”? This is a war for truth, for moral reform, and for the minds and hearts and souls of our children. In Psalm 9:17 it says, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God”. The U.S. is a nation that has abandoned God a long time ago. Yes, we are one of those hell bound nations unless we repent and fast! I realize this type of message is not what the masses want to hear, but it is one we all need to hear and take heed to.

This is what we as Christians should do in regards to the same sex marriage agenda or any sinful behavior:

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;and walk in love, just as Christ also lovedyou and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints;and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead evenexpose them (italics added); for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret (Eph 5:1-11).
These verses are very clear. The believer is always to be loving in our conduct. But that does not mean we love at the expense of exposing sin and telling the truth. The world sees pointing out their sin as unloving and being judgmental and hypocritical with no love for them. It is all in our approach to those in sin. If we are arrogant and condescending to them as if we are better than they are, do not expect them to receive what you are saying. You will just provoke them to be even more defiant toward you and the Word of God you desire to preach to them. We have to walk in love with a genuine concern for their soul. I believe God releases His power to convict the sinner so that he or she will repent and be converted to Christ. The child of God should see exposing sin as revelatory to the one trapped in it. Why do I say that? One cannot know they are bound unless their wickedness is juxtaposed against biblical truth. We are only free when we know the truth (John 8:32). For those who are living a homosexual lifestyle are in darkness along with those who advocate their lifestyle.

Why is everyone picking on same sex marriage? What about incest, fornicators, adulterers, thieves, pedophiles, liars, murders and drunks, drug dealers and users?

The reason I’m focusing on the sin of same sex marriage because that is the matter that is on the table right now. Those other sins are very destructive and deadly also, but they were not sanctioned as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court. They also do not have “pride-parades” either like the gay community does. One of the main problems I have with gays is that unlike the true child of God who loathes their sin and confesses it humbly before God so that they can remain in fellowship with Him (I John 1:9), the homosexual, lesbian, transgender community loves their sin (John 3:19). They sin as a way of life. They practice sin. When one practices anything, they become good, even experts at it because they do whatever it is they love all the time. When one practices sinful behavior, they become an expert at evil. That is the problem with those who practice any kind of deviant behavior. So, what should be the Christian’s response to all of this? We are to speak the truth in love (Eph 4:15).

We are not to become violent and go out gay-bashing men and women in the homosexual community like some of them do. We ought to love them, and point them to the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ for they are lost in the darkness that they love (John 3:19). Sit down with them and find out what made them decide to choose that lifestyle. Be honest with them, and lovingly tell them why they are wrong. There are many men and women in this lifestyle that know it’s wrong and desire to leave, but do not know how.

My heart goes out to them. Be compassionate and respectful for they are made in the image of God Almighty (James 3:9). We have to confidently hold our ground and be willing to be cursed out, ridiculed, ignored, and persecuted. Challenge them in their worldview. Many in the gay community claim they are Christians and love God. If anyone claims they love God, then they must love the word of God for God has placed His word above his own name (Psalm 138:2).

Jesus said to disciples, “If you love me keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Also in Leviticus 18:22 it says, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination”. This clearly speaks of homosexuality. I Corinthians 6:9 also says that a homosexual will not inherit the kingdom of God. Put it another way, practicing homosexuals will not go to heaven! This goes for any unrepentant sinner. So for anyone who claims to love God and practices sin is a liar. Yes Christians commit sin frequently, but sin cannot be the hallmark of our lives; righteousness, and holiness have to be our companions now.

Another challenge to those in the gay community, they say God is love and that He definitely is. Would you say God is love if He exonerated the man that sexually assaults, rapes and murders innocent children? What if they were your children? How would you feel about God then? Wouldn’t you want justice for your slain children whom you loved? Yes you would. My point is you wouldn’t want a God of love then, you would want a God of anger and justice so that He would punish the evil man that killed your children. Stop abusing the love of God to justify and shroud your sin. God judges sin because He is holy and just and desires we repent. We are all like that evil man that committed those murders. We are criminals in the eyes of God until we repent of our sins. The homosexual like all are guilty of sin, and unless we repent, we will perish (Luke 13:2-5).

Same sex advocates’ “God of Love”[3] is not the God of the Bible because they are using the love of God as an escape hatch to justify their wickedness. Their fake “god of love” they proclaim is actually the real God of wrath that will judge them less they repent.

The homosexual and lesbian Community (or HLC for short) does not even know what the love of God really is. Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy or boast. It is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice at evil, but rejoices with truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends or fails (I Cor 13:4-8a).

Just because the Supreme Court claimed same sex marriage is constitutional and many feel liberated, the opposite has occurred. Those that advocate same sex marriage will now use this most horrible decision to fall deeper into sin. The decision didn’t free those who love its pronouncement, it put them further in bondage to it. They are just too blind to see it. They say #Lovewon!? No, lust won…for now.

I reject the decision and hate it. Why? It is an assault on the holy institution of marriage which God created for the mutual pleasure of a husband and wife to enjoy together and bear children.
This can never occur if women are with women and men with men. The human race would go out of existence. Homosexual unions are not just sinful, they are unnatural and illogical.
Even animals instinctively recognize and mate with the opposite sex. See how far mankind has degenerated? Millions cannot even identify their own gender so they are going after strange flesh and artificially changing their gender with replacement surgery and hormone treatments.

Shame on the judges that rendered this ungodly decision. What nerve of them to attempt to re-define marriage. Are five Justices more sovereign and powerful than God? Understand that same sex couples are not being treated less than – as if they do not have equal rights. This is all a smoke screen. Same sex couples have all the rights of any U.S. citizen. Freedom of religion. Right to free speech. Right to vote, to run for public office, to work, receive healthcare, etc.

They are just interested in the government sanctioning their union as legally binding as a heterosexual union. It is not about allowance of the lifestyle, it is about in their mind equality, acceptance and the constitutionality of it. The Supreme Court gave them the legal force they needed to spread their propaganda not to just present the same sex agenda as an alternative lifestyle side by side with traditional marriage, but I believe the destruction of traditional marriage and family is their goal.[4] Liberality in love means free sexual expression no matter the gender of the counterpart. Traditional marriage prohibits free sex activists believe. God ordained marriage is narrow and neutralizes the sexual revolution they feel they have a right to. But, same sex marriage does not fill a void in our community unlike the signing of the Civil Rights bill did in 1964 which ended segregation in public places and employment discrimination. Or the ratifying of the 19^th amendment to the Constitution in 1920 giving women the right to vote. These were necessary causes that needed the attention of government because they were equality issues. Same sex marriage is not a civil, equality or human rights issue. It is a nefarious plot that activists have packaged cleverly and has received the signet ring of the U.S. government.

Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it is morally right. Abortion in this country is legal, but it is also murder. Same sex marriage is morally reprehensible and should be abhorred by anyone who calls themselves a Christian. As I stated earlier, it is a slap in God’s face. It corrupts His original design, and order for the family. Same sex marriage is the epitome of the dysfunctional family and not the Modern family. Another matter worth pointing out is the homosexual community will argue their lifestyle is not harmful to anyone. Really? I disagree. What about our children? By public displays of affection by gays, it plants perverse images in our children’s minds. Many children will believe it is okay for men to be with men and women to be with women carnally

because adults told them so.   They are teaching these ideas to our children in schools. Another reason why their lifestyle is harmful is by having intercourse with someone of the same sex. This will definitely bring about an increase in sexually transmitted diseases.[5] They have signed their own death certificate and those they are sexually involved with.
Also they are teaching a double standard. Their lifestyle affects us negatively just like they say our lives affect them negatively. For if our lives did not affect them, they why did the gay activists push so hard to have same sex marriage a constitutional right? Now that they have won this first phase it is on to the nonprofit organizations – mainly churches. Religious institutions file under a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status with the IRS. This exempts them from paying federal income taxes and allows donors tax deductible contributions to the church and nonprofit businesses. Gay activists want to have this status revoked and are working on it right now! Gay activists want churches to pay their fair share of federal taxes. What will be the result of this? It will financially cripple many churches causing them to shut down because they will not be able to afford the federal income tax. It gets worse. Same sex couples will demand that clergymen marry them. Those that refuse will be in violation of the constitution, arrested and thrown in prison. So, do you still believe the homosexual lifestyle does not affect anyone? It will affect millions of us who worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). It will affect the poor and homeless who depend on local churches for food and counseling. It will affect those who are recovering addicts that are part of a habit free program that not only receive encouragement and support, but the word of God. The churches of God are safe havens for many, and that staple is being threatened more than ever before. The homosexual community is a wrecking ball, destroying everything in its path. There is something that no one can destroy though – the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus died and shed His blood for it (Eph 5:25-27). He has made us clean. We are a living spiritual organism (i.e. the Church). Taking building where the Church is housed does not destroy God’s Church. We may in the not too distant future be dispossessed of buildings to congregate as the Body of Christ because of the wickedness of gay liberal activists, but no one can prevail against the Church (Matt 16:18). We can and will worship God anywhere. God’s people will lose some battles, but we won’t lose the war against evil! God is on our side (Romans 8:31-39).

Finally, for those of you who read this article and are offended by my admittedly strong words that was not my intent. I know many of you may have family and friends trapped in this lifestyle and you love and are praying for them. There are others of you that have sadly accepted perhaps your family member or friend was born gay, and this is natural for them to be attracted and involved with the same sex. That view is most unfortunate. I have a strong zeal for the sanctity of marriage and more importantly passion for God and His holy word. There are many in the evangelical community that would say, “This ruling didn’t catch God by surprise so neither should we surprised! It’s no big deal! God is in control.” AMEN?! Praise God! No big deal? I believe that is the apathetic approach that Satan wants us to have – just-let-go-and-let-God. It lulls the unsuspecting person to sleep on this matter.

Romans 13:11-14 says, “Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep (Church, child of God). For our salvation is nearer to us now than we first believed. The night is far gone[6]; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to gratify it desires”.

If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land (II Chronicles 7:14).
