Hebrews Chapter 1

-

 The writer emphasizes the superiority of Jesus above the angels. In the first chapter the Father God calls The Son God TWICE (vs. 8 & 9) and Lord once (vs.10). This proves Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. The Son is also the creator of the universe (vs. 10). The writer also describes the purpose of the holy angels - the serve the saints who are the heirs of salvation (vs.14).

Double Jeopardy, does the Bible teach it?

I want to make a comparison with an excerpt from the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution and the Scripture.               “nor shall any person be subject to the same offence to twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.” Why did I use this excerpt? Because it protects one from being prosecuted for the same crime once one has been acquitted of it in a court of law. Also, once someone has been forgiven of sin after they genuinely repent, and exercise belief in the completed work of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s cross, they can never be condemned for their sins again; neither in this life nor in the life to come. To believe or teach that a person can lose their salvation after they have obtained it is unbiblical. Yet many Christians sadly believe and teach this heretical doctrine. Is the Bible An accessory to many Church-goers?

  T he answer to this question unfortunately is a resounding yes. Why do I make this assertion? Because many people take what their Pastor says hook, line and sinker instead of being like the Bereans in Acts 17:11 where it says that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether these things were so. The Bereans didn't even take Paul's and Silas' word as true until they examined it; and these men received direct revelation from the Spirit of God! We have an obligation to study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman who is not ashamed - rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).  If you're not diligent in study, you will be duped by these numerous false teachers, wolves in sheep's clothing.
